Archival Producer: Afterthought (June 2021 - present)

Feature documentary about the development of COVID-19 memorials across the United States.

Archival Producer: Our Daisy (October 2021 - present)

Short documentary meditating on the story of a teenage girl who died in the 1918 Influenza pandemic.

Archival Producer: Museum of the City of New York (October 2022 - May 2023)

Directed video research and licensing for the museum’s centennial exhibition, titled “This Is New York: 100 Years of the City in Art and Pop Culture.” The exhibition features both famous and lesser-known images of New York in film and television, song and poetry, literature, visual and performing arts, and fashion, painting a collective, moving and even funny version of a city that has captured the imagination of the world. 

Archival Intern: Monument Lab (June 2023 - present)

Created an archival soundscape and interactive bookshelf for You’re Welcome, Monument Lab’s dynamic three-part exhibition developed in collaboration with multidisciplinary artist Cannupa Hanska Luger and the University of Michigan Museum of Art. This exhibition explored the cultural and social impact of historic structures on the University’s campus.

Archival Researcher: Retro Report (November 2022 - April 2023)

Contributed additional archival research for the Retro Report short documentary “The Crime That Fueled an Asian American Civil Rights Movement” about the 1982 murder of Vincent Chin.


Exhibits Intern: Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum (July - August 2022)

Spearheaded archival research and oral history work for the Museum’s upcoming Mail Room exhibition. This exhibition illustrates the importance of mail and letter-writing to U.S. service-members from WWII to Vietnam.


Archival Producer: Picturing the Obamas (Dec 2021 - July 2022)

Two-part documentary for the Smithsonian Channel/CBS about the Obama Portraits and their impact. Research focused on illustrating the history of contemporary Black art as a means of contextualizing the rise and resonance of Amy Sherald and Kehinde Wiley, the artists whose portraits of the presidential couple so captured many Americans’ imaginations. Broadcast premiere on the Smithsonian Channel, September 10, 2022.


Archival Producer: Unveiling: The Origin of Charlottesville's Monuments (July 2021 - August 2021)

Served as the Archival Producer on a short documentary exploring the story of Charlottesville’s Confederate monuments. This film was commissioned by the University of Virginia Democracy Initiative's Memory Project.


Archival Producer: Upcoming 4-part documentary series (October 2020 - January 2021)

Served as the Archival Producer on a series of four feature-length documentary films by award-winning directors Michael Camerini and Shari Robertson. Researched, gathered, and organized all archival assets in preparation for the edit in 2020 and 2021, and will resume work once the production is ready to begin licensing content. Project title and other details are currently confidential.


Archival Producer: How the Monuments Came Down (November 2020 - June 2021)

Served as the Archival Producer on How the Monuments Came Down, a feature-length documentary by Hannah Ayers and Lance Warren. This Emmy-winning film tells the story of Richmond’s Confederate monuments, the white supremacy that gave rise to them, and the generations of black activists who worked to take them down. Responsibilities included developing contacts at national and local archives, ordering screeners, organizing archival assets, managing the archival budget, ordering masters, and licensing footage.


Archival Producer: Museum of the City of New York (January 2021 - June 2021)

Handled archival research and licensing for a multimedia exhibition at the Museum of the City of New York titled New York, New Music: 1980-1986. Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of MTV, this exhibit highlights diverse musical artists as a lens to explore the broader music and cultural scene centered in New York City in these years. Responsibilities included sourcing screeners, coordinating with artists, filmmakers, and private collectors whose work the museum would like to feature, and handling all footage licensing.


Archival Researcher: Margarita LIVE! (January 2021)

Served as the archival researcher for a multimedia immersive theatrical production based in Miami. Assembled extensive research materials for use in creating the script, organized archival assets for use in the production itself, and worked closely with the dramaturg.


Development Associate & Archival Researcher: NBC News Archives (July 2018-October 2020)

Worked closely with filmmakers and curators to research and license archival footage for films and exhibitions. Gained intimate knowledge of America's oldest TV news collection, comprising over 70 years of archival and contemporary content. Handled all stages of the research and licensing process, including preparing screeners and masters, navigating complicated footage rights questions, obtaining approvals from NBC News Standards, and handling license agreements and invoices.

In this capacity, collaborated on numerous documentary films, TV shows, and public humanities projects around the world at institutions ranging from the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York, to the Equal Justice Initiative Legacy Museum in Montgomery Alabama, to the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney Australia. Represented NBC News Archives at the 2019 American Alliance of Museums (AAM) Conference.



Archival Producer: Sunken Roads: Three Generations After D-Day (2013 - 2020)

Sunken Roads is grounded in oral histories and archival materials and required extensive research in the U.S. National Archives at College Park, U.S. National Military Personnel Records Center in St. Louis, Sterling Memorial Library at Yale, Das Bundesarchiv in Germany, and intimate family archives in the U.S. and France.



Research Assistant to History Professor Leora Auslander: University of Chicago (Sep 2017- June 2018)

Assisted with research for Professor Auslander’s upcoming book on the history of race and racism in the Atlantic world. Assembled an extensive bank of archival images and created an annotated bibliography using French and English-language sources.



Graduate Student: University of Chicago (Sep 2017- June 2018)

Extensive archival research for M.A. thesis and seminar papers. Closely studied archival research theory and methodology through courses including The Archive of Absence and Historical Methods. See History Scholar section for details of select academic projects.



Archival Researcher: Joe’s Violin (July - August 2015)

Assisted with archival research for the Academy Award-nominated short documentary Joe’s Violin. This experience came as part of an internship with DOC NYC.



Archival Researcher: Connecticut State Library (Jan - Aug 2015)

Assisted with research and curation for the Library’s Remembering World War I centennial commemoration project.



Undergraduate Student: Yale University (Aug 2012- May 2016)

Extensive archival research for B.A. thesis and seminar papers. Developed a particularly strong knowledge of the collections in Yale University’s Beinecke Library and Manuscripts & Archives. See History Scholar section for details of select academic projects.
